Hankel Transform of a Cylinder

The Hankel transform of the 2D cylindrically symmetric function above is shown below in the q plane. J₁ is the first order Bessel function.

And the transform is illustrated by the applet below. Along the shortest direction the maximum value of q is 4.

This pattern is identical to a circular aperture or the radiation pattern of a uniformly illuminated parabolic antenna etc.
